Roger Terrell - Principal Solicitor
|
|
|
Very experienced Solicitor having qualified in 1980 having substantial knowledge and experience in Family Law, Civil Litigation and Personal Injury claims and Business Law generally.
A member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel, Family Law Panel Advanced and Resolution.
Represented clients in a number of high profile trials.
Was Chairman and Vice Chairman of Peterborough United Football Club for many years and represented a number of professional footballers and clubs in contract negotiation.

He writes a weekly column for Peterborough Evening Telegraph under the heading, 'Is it Legal?'. He has appeared on local and national television, BBC Radio Five Live, Radio Cambridgeshire and Hereward Radio regarding football and legal topics. He is a keen football and cricket follower and enjoys food, wine and travel. He is married with two grown up children one of whom, Lucy, is a Solicitor. |

Anna Howat - Head of Commercial Property and
Residential Conveyancing

|
Anna Howat is a Solicitor in our property section having joined the firm in 2001 and completing her training contract here. In 2006, she took over the responsibility of heading our Property department which handles commercial and residential transactions. She represents a number of commercial clients and local property developers, as well as private individuals.
|
|
The majority of her work centres around advising on all aspects of property acquisition and disposal, but she is also responsible for marketing, implementing changes in legislation and training within the department. Anna also specialises in Wills and Probate work, dealing with such
matters as Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection applications
and obtaining Grants of Representation. |

Alison Allen - Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives specialising in Family Law
|
|
|
Alison Allen (formerly Podgorski) is a Family Law Legal Executive and has been with the firm since 2001. Alison qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in March 2006.
Alison is a fee earner in the Family department, dealing with publicly funded and private clients. Alison specialises in all aspects of family law. The majority of her work is dealing with public and private law Children Act cases.

She undertakes care proceedings as well as residence, contact and parental responsibility disputes. Alison also deals with divorce, separation, financial settlements and family law injunctions. She is a competent advocate and regularly attends court.
Alison is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel and a member of Resolution.

Lorna Ayres - Solicitor specialising in Family Law and Personal Injury
|
|
|
Lorna graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2005 with a 2:1 Law Degree and successfully completed the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School. Lorna joined Terrells in 2006 and completed her training contract with the firm.
Lorna represents publicly funded and private clients on a range of family matters including separation, divorce, financial matters arising from separation and divorce, children matters and domestic violence. Lorna is a member of Resolution.

Lorna also specialises in personal injury claims and represents a number of clients who have sustained injuries in road traffic accidents, accidents in the workplace and tripping and slipping accidents. Lorna has successfully obtained compensation for a number of personal injury clients.
Lorna is located at the Huntingdon branch of Terrells and is assisted by Duvergne Griggs. |

Lucy Terrell - Solicitor specialising in Family Law
|
|
|
Lucy studied for both her Degree and Legal Practice Course in Leeds. She attained a 2:1 Law Degree and successfully completed her Legal Practice Course. Lucy trained with Terrells and qualified on 1 August 2007. At 23 she was one of the youngest Solicitors in the country to qualify. Following the completion of her training contract, she took some time out travelling in Australia and joined a large well respected firm in Nottingham.

Lucy has now returned to her home city and specialises in all aspects of family law, dealing with publicly funded and private clients. The majority of her work is dealing with divorce, finances and private law Children Act applications.
Lucy also deals with injunctions, has links with the South Cambridgeshire Domestic Violence Forum and regularly obtains injunctions for clients. Lucy is a competent advocate and has travelled to various courts across the country. Lucy is also a member of Resolution.
Lucy is currently based at the firm’s Stamford office and is establishing a growing client base in the area.

Louise Roberts – Solicitor specialising in Family Law
|
|
|
Louise graduated from the University of East Anglia in July 2004 with a 2:1 Law Degree. After having two years out of education, Louise successfully completed her LPC at the College of Law in York with Distinction.
Louise started her training contract with Terrells in July 2007. Louise gained experience in the Family and Litigation Department, Wills and Probate and Conveyancing departments. Louise qualified as a solicitor in August 2009.

Louise now specialises in family Law and represents both Private and Publicly funded clients in all areas of Family Law; including Divorce, Finances, Children matters and Family Law Injunctions. Louise gained a great deal of advocacy experience during her training contact and now attends court regularly. Louise is a member of Resolution |

Claire Collins - Solicitor specialising in Family Law
|
|
|
Claire attend the University of Birmingham and graduated with a 2:1 Law Degree in 2005. She then stayed in Birmingham to successfully complete her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law with Distinction.
Claire started her training contract with the firm in 2006, initially working within the Personal Injury department before moving on to the Family and Litigation departments. After completing her seat in Conveyancing and Wills and Probate she then returned to the Family department as a fee earner to build up her caseload and gain further advocacy experience before qualifying as a Solicitor in November 2008.

Claire now represents both publicly funded and private clients on a range of family matters including divorce, financial settlements, private law Children Act cases and family law injunctions.
Claire is a member of Resolution.

Rachael Farrar – Solicitor specialising in Family Law, Personal Injury and Civil Litigation

|
|
Rachael graduated from Nottingham Trent University in July 2007 with a 2:2 Law Degree. Within her degree Rachael completed a year long work placement at Terrells. During this time she gained experience within the Conveyancing, Personal Injury and Litigation departments but spent the majority of her time working within the Family department. Rachael then successfully completed her Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School gaining a Commendation in July 2008.

Rachael commenced her training contract with the firm on 4th August 2008. Rachael gained experience in the Family and Litigation Department, Wills and Probate and Conveyancing Departments. Rachael qualified as a Solicitor in August 2010.
Rachael specialises in Family Law, Personal Injury and Civil Litigation. As well as dealing with all areas of Family Law, and attending Court on a regular basis representing both Publicly Funded and Private clients; Rachael has conduct of all Personal Injury and Civil Litigation matters. |

Gemma Hastewell - Solicitor specialising in Family Law

|
|
Gemma graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2005 and successfully completed the Legal Practice Course at The College of Law, Birmingham. Upon completion of her studies, Gemma returned to her hometown Preston and worked as a Paralegal in Family Law before moving to Peterborough in August 2009. Gemma completed her training contract with the firm.

Melanie Stafford – Trainee Legal Executive specialising in Family Law
|
|
|
Melanie studied for her A Levels at Rutland College in Oakham and then went on to work at a small firm in Market Harborough. She began working at Terrells in April 2007. She is now in the second year of her ILEX training and qualifies as a Legal Executive in 2011.

Melanie is currently working in the family department, working closely with Roger Terrell and Claire Collins. She regularly attends different courts around the country offering assistance to barristers. She deals with both publicly and privately funded cases, mostly in the areas of divorce, finances and injunctions. |

Jessica Balchin – Paralegal specialising in residential Conveyancing, Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorneys

|
Jessica graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2006 with a 2.1 Law Degree and then went on to successfully gain her diploma in the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School in 2007. She then gained practical experience in Employment and Criminal law with solicitors in Nottingham and Grantham.

In July 2010, Jessica returned to her home town of Stamford and joined Terrells as a Paralegal.
Jessica is now involved with her own workload in residential Conveyancing, Wills and Lasting Power of Attorneys. She also supports Anna Howat with all matters across the Wills, Probate and Conveyancing departments. |
