Roger Terrell

Head of praCtice

Roger Terrell qualified as a solicitor in February 1980 and established his firm in Peterborough in May 1988. 

He has established a reputation as an experienced litigation lawyer appearing in many cases before Judges in the High Court, County Court and Family Court.

Roger has a wide range of experience in the following matters:-

High Net Worth clients in financial remedy proceedings

Paternity Fraud – initially representing Richard Rodwell in a 2013 case which established a precedent for liability and damages in this type of case through to the case of Richard Mason in 2019 where substantial damages were recovered from his ex-wife by order of the County Court in Birmingham.

Roger was featured in the Daily Telegraph – “If you are unsure who the daddy is, ask this man” and was The Times’ Lawyer of the Week. He was also interviewed on BBC Radio 5 Live by Emma Barnett in relation to his Paternity Fraud work.

Professional Sport – representing football clubs with regards to ownership disputes, transfers, tribunals in England and before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne. Roger has also represented many professional footballers, managers and coaches.

Roger is a keen football and cricket follower and enjoys food, wine and travel. He is married with two adult children and his daughter Lucy is a senior solicitor in Bath.

Michelle Davis

praCtice manager

Michelle Davis completed her degree in 2016 with a 2:1 Honours in Accounting and Finance. She completed her Level 4 AAT in Accounting in 2018 and became fully AAT qualified.

Michelle started working for Terrells in December 2016 as an Accounts Executive and returned to the firm in May 2021 as a newly appointed Manager of the Firm.

Claire Fuller

Solicitor

Claire is our solicitor who deals with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Administration of estates, and Court of Protection matters.

Before transferring her skills to the private client department, she practised family law for several years. She has a breadth of experience in a plethora of areas that generate positive and effective results for her clients.

Claire is professional yet personable, using her skills and knowledge to provide tailored support and guidance with empathy at what can often be an emotional time

Andrew Needleman​

CONSULTANT SOLICITOR

Andrew qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and has dealt with a range of gambling and sporting matters. 

In Professional Sport, he has represented boxers before the British Boxing Board of Control and has acted for Formula One Teams. Andrew has also represented bookmakers and casinos.

Mariya Waheed

ASSOCIATE SOLICITOR

Mariya graduated in 2018 with a 2:1 Honours in LLB Law. She then completed her LPC LLM at the University of Law in London and obtained a Distinction.

Mariya started working for Terrells in May 2019 as a Trainee Solicitor and returned to the firm in May 2023 as an Associate Solicitor in the Commercial Property Team.

She has a wide range of
experience in dealing with both individuals and companies with property acquisitions and disposals. Mariya has expertise in dealing with the sales and purchases of businesses. She also deals with a wide range of Landlord and Tenant matters.

Outside of work, Mariya enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.

Emily Hilliard​

CONVEYANCER

Emily joined Terrells in July 2020 and works in the Conveyancing Department whilst also studying for her diploma to become a Chartered Legal Executive.

She prides herself on her impeccable client care and communication skills with a disciplined attention to detail. Emily understands that the buying and selling process can be a stressful time for clients and ensures she provides the best service she can.

Prior to joining Terrells, Emily gained 7 years property experience as an Estate Agent, with a local agent, giving her a great understanding of all aspects of the property market.

Emily enjoys travelling, walking her dog and spending time with her friends and family.

Joe Monaghan​

TRAINEE SOLICITOR

Joe joined Terrells in December 2021, and is a Trainee Solicitor in our Commercial team. He graduated with a BSc Economics from SOAS University of London and is now studying for the LPC.

Joe specialises in commercial acquisitions, licensed betting and regulatory compliance in the gambling and gaming niche. 

He understands the requirements of various regulatory bodies regarding advertising, codes of practice, and corporate structuring. 

He has also dealt with multi-jurisdictional betting matters. 

Outside of work, Joe enjoys amateur boxing and visiting art exhibitions.

Natasha Carvalho​

TRAINEE SOLICITOR

Natasha joined Terrells in 2022 as a trainee solicitor after completing her LPC and LLM at the University of Law in London. Natasha is currently working in our Family law team.

Natasha has been in the legal sector since 2010 and has obtained a good knowledge in immigration law and Human Rights.

Natasha has a clear, logical mind with a practical approach to problem solving and a drive to see things through to completion.

In her spare time Natasha enjoys travelling, learning new languages and cultures as well as spending time with her family.

Shabana Khan​

TRAINEE SOLICITOR

Shabana joined Terrells LLP in September 2023 as a trainee Solicitor. Assigned to the Trusts and Estates team, she adeptly handles legal documents and administrative tasks for clients seeking Wills and other legal documentations.

Shabana holds a Law and Business degree, having completed her Legal Practice Course at De Montfort University, Leicester.

Beyond her legal pursuits, Shabana is a passionate boxer who finds joy in nature, long walks, and sports activities with her children. Shabana excellently balances her work life, family life, and personal life.

Currently, Shabana is working on self-publishing a book inspired by her children, and this is just one of her many prolific pursuits.

Sadia Akthar

PARALEGAL

Sadia joined Terrells in early 2024 as a Paralegal for our conveyancing department.

Sadia completed her law degree at De Montfort University in 2020 and is currently studying her LPC with BPP University and hopes to progress her career to a trainee solicitor.

Sadia enjoys going out, site seeing and spending time with her friends and family.

Jennifer Hirst​

PARALEGAL

Jennifer initially joined Terrells in August 2011 and works in the Family Team as a Paralegal.

Whilst working and raising a family, Jennifer was awarded a Bachelor of Law (Honours) Degree obtained from The Open University in 2014.

Jennifer assists the Family Team with a wide range of private client work including separation, divorce, finances, children disputes and paternity fraud cases as well as helping clients through public law proceedings.

Rachael Anene​

PARALEGAL

Renowned for positivity and excellence, Rachael holds a 1st Class Law degree and has successfully completed Law School alongside a Masters in Law from BPP University in London.

With a proven track record of proficiency in customer service and administration, Rachael is dedicated to delivering unparalleled legal services.

Alex Mazalkov​

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT​

Alex Mazalkou started working as the accounts assistant in January 2023, assisting the Practice Manager within the Accounts Department. He completed his Accounting and Finance degree in 2016 and is currently studying towards his ACCA qualification.

In his spare time Alex enjoys spending time with family, cooking or practicing the piano.
